Connect your wisdom to unlimited potential. Become a Global Impact Mentor.
Global Impact Mentors are American women committed to nurturing high‐potential emerging leaders in Families Without Borders program.
Why We Need You
Families Without Borders has impacted tens of thousands of people, and we want to improve even more lives. There is an African proverb that says, “if you want to go fast, go alone, and if you want to go far, go together!” We want to go far, and we want you to go with us!
We are looking for the best and brightest women in business or the social profit sector to join us as we
grow our Global Impact Circle to support Family Without Borders’ emerging leaders with coaching, mentorship and advice.
Your Role
Becoming a Global Impact Mentor is a powerful opportunity for you to leverage your wisdom and
expertise to create results on a global scale. Our student leaders are brilliant, young men and women
from disadvantaged backgrounds with great leadership potential. Each of our emerging leaders will be
matched with one Global Impact Mentor for weekly online video calls for a period of three years, where the mentor’s guidance will create a road map for the young student leader’s path to success.
As a Global Impact Mentor, you will get to shape lives of the next generation of leaders across the
oceans. You will join a peer group of Global Impact Mentors who will have the opportunity to connect
with one another at monthly gatherings and annual retreats.
Families Without Borders will provide orientation and guidance in the process.
A Global Impact Mentor commits to:
- Advise/mentor/coach an emerging leader for about two hours per month for a period of three years (from second year of college through graduation)
- Follow the call topics based on the suggested guidelines
- Meet with other local Global Impact Mentors in your community once a month
• Attend a workshop/introduction training before stating the mentorship
- Contribute an annual tax‐deductible donation of $1,000 toward the education of an emerging leader for three years
- Donate a used, workable smart phone to a student leader for online video calls
- Attend the Global Impact Circle exclusive annual retreat and connect with other like‐minded women of wisdom and expertise
